The SPELAB Billet Aluminum Valve Cover offers a robust upgrade for 2004.5-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 models. It addresses the inherent weaknesses of the factory plastic valve covers, which are susceptible to warping, cracking, and oil leaks due to heat cycles and engine stress. Key features include integrated vibration-damped brackets for the FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module) and GPCM (Glow Plug Control Module). These custom aluminum brackets utilize hard rubber isolators to absorb engine harmonics, preventing the common FICM failure caused by cracked solder joints. The CNC-machined T6061 billet aluminum construction ensures a virtually indestructible component that also dissipates heat more effectively than the stock plastic covers. Additionally, an integrated baffled CCV (Crankcase Ventilation) system separates oil mist from crankcase gases, reducing oil buildup in the intake system, which can cause turbo boot issues and intercooler contamination. The valve cover boasts a show-quality anodized finish, available in Black, Red, or Silver, and features a precisely machined sealing surface for a perfect fit with the cylinder head.
