The Vargas Turbo Technologies Billet BMW Crankcase Breather (VTT-CRANK-BREATHER-1) is a performance-driven solution designed to mitigate excessive crankcase pressure in BMW engines. This plug-and-play kit replaces the factory oil cap, offering an immediate reduction in crankcase pressure, improved turbo oil drainage, and a potential horsepower increase, all while enhancing the engine bay's aesthetics. Constructed from durable 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with a black anodized finish, this breather is built for longevity and corrosion resistance. These components work in unison to effectively vent crankcase pressure while minimizing oil carryover. The breather can be utilized independently with the stock PCV system or in conjunction with aftermarket PCV setups for maximum pressure relief. For those running a VTT Billet or Cast Aluminum valve cover, select the corresponding "Billet Valve Cover" option; otherwise, choose the "Stock Valve Cover" option. **Important Fitment and Clearance Notes:** While this breather is compatible with a wide range of BMW engines including N54, N55, S55, S54, S85, S63, S63TU, and N63, fitment can vary based on valve cover design and surrounding components. Vargas Turbo Technologies specifically **does not recommend use on S63, S63TU, or S68 platforms (F90, G90 M5, etc.)**. Installation on these non-recommended applications is at the user's own risk and voids returns if the item is used. Hood clearance can also be a concern; verified fitment with no clearance issues is confirmed for N54 E9X/E8X/E6X models, while N55 E & F Series 3 Series have reported clearance issues. For any installation on models other than an N54, it is crucial to carefully close the hood to verify clearance before operation. If the unit does not fit, it must be returned in unused condition for a refund.
