The Modular Motorsports Racing 477071 is a billet crankshaft gear engineered for 4.6/5.4L engines, specifically covering all SOHC, DOHC, and 3V configurations from 1993-2004. This component is crucial for protecting your investment, as the factory powdered metal crankshaft gear is a known weak point that can fail and lead to severe damage to the valvetrain and cylinder heads. The 477071 gear is crafted from premium, aerospace-grade, heat-treated billet steel, providing a robust and reliable alternative to the OEM part. It is designed as a direct replacement and fits all stock and aftermarket crankshafts. This gear is essential for any application exceeding 600 horsepower.
