Billet Differential Lock-Down Kit

The Vargas VTT-F9X-LOCKDOWN is a billet differential lock-down kit engineered to enhance differential stability during launches and hard cornering. Constructed from 100% billet 6061-T6 aluminum, the lockdown plate weighs a mere 1.5 lbs. It employs four connection points on the differential and three on the subframe to ensure positive diff location, effectively preventing movement during launches, which can help protect components like guibos. The anodized finish is available in multiple colors, offering corrosion resistance, durability, and enhanced aesthetics. The process involves removing four differential bolts, drilling two holes in the subframe for M8 riv-nuts, and then installing the lockdown. The exhaust system does not need to be moved. An experienced installer can typically complete the job in 30-45 minutes, while a more leisurely pace might take an hour or two. A riv-nut tool is necessary for installation. This product is specifically designed for the BMW F97 X3 M and F98 X4 M models equipped with the S58 3.0L engine.
