Billet Front Crank Seal Guard

The Vargas Turbo Technologies VTT-CRANK-GUARD addresses a critical failure point on BMW N54, N55, and S55 engines. A common issue involves serpentine belt failure, where a broken belt can be drawn behind the front damper pulley and pulled past the crank seal into the oil pan. If this ingested belt reaches the oil pickup, it can lead to catastrophic engine failure due to oil starvation. Replacing the oil pan and subframe is a costly repair even if the engine is not destroyed. This billet crank seal guard provides a crucial layer of protection by physically blocking the belt from entering the crank seal and oil pan area in the event of a failure. It is manufactured from 100% billet 6061-T6 aluminum, offering superior durability over welded or thin steel designs. The anodized black finish ensures long-term corrosion resistance. Included with the guard are two extended 12.9 Grade bolts and two stainless washers for installation.
