The RacingLine High Flow Turbo Inlet is a precision-engineered component designed to replace the restrictive factory plastic turbo elbow on MQB platform EA888.3 1.8T and 2.0T vehicles. It addresses the airflow limitations of the stock unit, which forces air through a tight bend, thereby hindering performance. This turbo inlet is CNC machined from T6-6061 aircraft-grade aluminum with an ultra-thin-wall construction to maximize flow rate. It features a gloss black hard anodized finish for durability and aesthetics, and twin nitrile O-rings ensure a perfect, airtight seal. The design is intended to complement high-flow intake systems by smoothing and opening up the airflow into the turbocharger, potentially leading to worthwhile power gains. Installation is designed to be straightforward, taking approximately 10 minutes with basic hand tools, and it is easily reversible to the factory configuration. This upgrade is compatible with all intake pipes and factory turbos, including the RacingLine R600 intake, factory airbox, and other aftermarket intakes.
