The PRL Motorsports Billet Intercooler Upgrade is an engineered solution to combat the heat-soak issues inherent in the factory intercooler system of the 2023+ Honda Civic Type R (FL5). By replacing the stock unit with a dense 28.35" x 4.3" x 7.25" bar-and-plate core, this system increases surface area by 31% and enhances internal flow to reduce charge air temperatures and prevent power-loss during high-load conditions. It is built to accommodate the factory charge piping, though it can be paired with optional aftermarket upgrades for maximum performance. Installation utilizes factory mounting spots and retains original hardware, and no ECU calibration is required for proper operation. Compatibility includes all 2023+ Honda Civic Type R FL5 variants, including RHD and international models. Please note that this product is not legal for sale or use in California on any emission-controlled motor vehicle. Furthermore, the use of thermal coatings, heat-wrap, or insulation not intended by the manufacturer will void the limited warranty. Professional installation is recommended as some applications require specific fabrication skills.
