The Hurst Billet/Plus Short Throw Shifter is engineered to enhance the manual shifting experience in 1983-2004 Ford Mustangs. This shifter is specifically designed for models utilizing the Borg Warner 465 T5 and T45 manual transmissions. Constructed from CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum for the base and stop collar, and a heat-treated billet steel gear selector, this shifter offers durability and a premium feel. Its core design features a high ratio pivot mechanism, which significantly reduces shifter throw, leading to quicker and more precise gear changes. The self-centering alignment mechanism further aids in smooth and accurate engagement, particularly noticeable during the 2nd to 3rd up-shift.
