Its high-ratio pivot mechanism significantly reduces shifter throw, with a stated reduction of 0.25 inches, enhancing the feel and response. The shifter incorporates a self-centering alignment system designed to improve 2nd to 3rd gear up-shifts, minimizing the chance of missed shifts. Additionally, adjustable bias spring loads allow you to customize the stick tension to your preference. This shifter is specifically designed for 1983-01 Ford Mustang V8, 1983-04 Ford Mustang V6, and 1983-91 Ford Thunderbird/Cougar models equipped with V6 & V8 engines and Borg Warner T-5/T45 transmissions. The dedicated application ensures a custom fit without requiring vehicle modifications, simplifying the installation process.
