This system ensures continuous cooling and refreshing of the brake pad surface during braking, leading to more consistent performance. The kit features extreme lightweight, one-piece calipers machined from aircraft quality billet with a differential bore configuration. These calipers weigh just over 5lbs each and incorporate machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design maximizes pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses and prevent warping under extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotors actively reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler operating temperatures.
