Billet Spherical Dogbone Mount Performance Pack

The 034Motorsport Billet Spherical Dogbone Mount Performance Pack, designed for the Audi 8V.5/8Y RS3 and 8S TTRS, offers a complete solution for improving drivetrain feel and performance. This package includes the Billet Spherical Dogbone Mount, an Upper Dogbone Mount Insert, and a Lower Dogbone Mount Insert, along with all new hardware. The Billet Aluminum Spherical Dogbone Mount is engineered for performance and durability, constructed from T6-6061 billet aluminum and 303 stainless steel. However, some increase in cabin noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) may be expected. The Billet Aluminum Lower Dogbone Mount Insert fills the voids in the factory mount, drastically reducing transmission movement during shifting and deceleration. This results in improved shifting feel and a more connected driving experience without introducing significant additional NVH. The precision-machined billet aluminum construction ensures long-lasting performance, unlike polyurethane options. Crucially, the Billet Aluminum Upper Dogbone Mount Insert is required for MQB platform vehicles using an aftermarket dogbone mount and insert. This insert prevents the dogbone mount arm from bending or failing during extreme drivetrain shocks, such as wheel-hop, by limiting the forward motion of the upper puck to match the lower puck's compliance. Testing has shown that without this upper insert, the dogbone mount arm can bend or fail even with other performance mounts installed. With both inserts, the forces on the dogbone arm are directed as intended, preventing damage.
