Billet Steel Flywheel for Ford Zetec E 1.8L 2.0L

The RWD Motorsport AF34 is a lightweight billet steel flywheel engineered to enhance the performance of Ford Zetec E 1.8 and early 2.0L engines. Machined from billet steel, this dynamically balanced component includes an integral ring gear and inductive pulse pick-up, making it suitable for use with standard or uprated Ford 8 1/2″ clutches. By significantly reducing rotational inertia – potentially by as much as half compared to the original Zetec E cast iron flywheel – the AF34 promotes quicker acceleration, especially in lower gears. The reduced mass at the flywheel's edges also contributes to faster gear changes and more effective engine braking. This flywheel is compatible with both front and rear-wheel drive applications and can be used with either a standard 220mm diameter Zetec E clutch cover and Ford 8 1/2″ clutch plate, or a Ford Pinto 8 1/2″ clutch plate and cover, as it comes pre-drilled for either option. Clutch dowels are supplied but require fitting based on the clutch used. Please note that this flywheel is exclusively for Zetec E engines. It does not fit the newer Zetec SE engines (1.4 – 1.7 Sigma), commonly found in Pumas and Fiestas. It is also only suitable for use with a Ford Pinto clutch cover if that specific clutch option is being fitted.
