The Integrated Engineering Billet Steel Main Caps (IEBEVA1) are engineered to significantly enhance the reliability of high-power VW and Audi 4-cylinder engines. When pushing your engine beyond 500HP, the stock cast main caps lack the necessary rigidity, leading to increased main bearing wear. These IE Billet Main Caps, CNC machined in-house from durable USA 4140 alloy steel, offer a massive upgrade by providing a stable crankshaft platform essential for performance builds. The precise CNC machining ensures an easier fitting process, though precise fitment requires a line bore and hone by a certified machine shop. It is crucial to confirm your machine shop can perform this procedure and to supply them with your chosen main bolts or studs for accurate alignment. Fitment is specific to VW & Audi 1.8T 20V engines (All 06A & 058) and VW & Audi 2.0T FSI engines (EA113 timing belt engines only). They are designed for pre-2006 VW 2.0L, 1.8T, G60, 16V, and 8V 4-cylinder engines. Importantly, these main caps do not fit late 2006+ EA888 Gen1/2/3 timing chain engines. Additionally, the use of OEM thrust washers, Part Number 06A105637A, is required.
