The MMR 400046 Billet Trigger Reluctor Wheel is engineered to replace the original stamped steel part found in Ford 4.6L and 5.4L engines. Unlike stamped parts that can have variations of up to .007 inches, this billet wheel is CNC machined for precise tolerances, which helps to prevent timing errors. It is considered a vital component of the ignition system, alongside coils and spark plugs. Constructed from USA-machined billet steel, this trigger wheel offers increased strength to minimize deformation at high engine speeds. This enhanced durability and precision contribute to a cleaner trigger signal, potentially increasing the engine's possible RPM range. Team MMR has tested this component up to 10,000 RPM.
