The Turner Motorsport Billet X-Brace Reinforcement Kit is engineered to significantly enhance the structural integrity and driving dynamics of BMW E36 coupes and sedans. Constructed from a solid block of 6061-T6 billet aluminum, this brace is precision-machined to integrate seamlessly with factory mounting locations. The X-brace and its modular mounting brackets are anodized in a distinctive Turner blue, while the assembly hardware is zinc-plated for corrosion resistance. This reinforcement kit directly bolts on without requiring any vehicle modifications. Its primary performance benefit is providing stiffer chassis bracing between the steering rack and the rear subframe. This increased rigidity translates to an improved steering feel and more responsive handling. Additionally, the design incorporates oil pan protection, safeguarding a critical component from potential damage. Installation is a direct bolt-on process, with all necessary hardware included. The kit weighs approximately 7.3 lbs, including hardware, contributing to a lightweight yet robust upgrade. Turner Motorsport also offers comprehensive installation instructions, accessible via a provided link. This kit is designed to fit all E36 coupe and sedan models. However, it specifically does not fit 1994 and older production date E36 325i, 325ic, and 325is models equipped with an Automatic Transmission, as they possess an interfering extra mount.
