The Edelbrock Victor Glidden Spider intake manifold (#2858) is engineered for high-output drag race engines with 375 cubic inches or larger displacements. Developed in collaboration with racer Billy Glidden, this manifold is specifically designed to optimize the flow characteristics of fully ported 15-degree and 18-degree cylinder heads. Constructed from aluminum with a satin finish, this single-plane, high-rise manifold features a 4500 series carburetor flange. The internal dividers have been pulled back to enlarge the plenum volume and shorten the runners, which enhances performance at higher engine speeds. The runners are wider at the plenum, providing approximately 3.6 square inches of area at the opening, contributing to its race-winning powerband. This intake manifold is intended for Small-Block Gen I Chevrolet race applications. It is designed to work specifically with small-block Chevy aluminum raised port 18-degree cylinder heads and will not fit standard cast cylinder heads. The manifold has a rear maximum height of 7.030 inches and operates optimally within a 5000-8500 RPM range. Gaskets are not included, and it comes with a 12-month warranty.
