The CT Sounds Bio 12” subwoofer is an entry-level car audio component designed to provide impressive performance for those starting their car audio journey. It boasts a conservatively rated 400-watt RMS power handling and can reach up to 800-watt MAX power, delivering a solid bass foundation. Constructed with a 2.4-inch, 4-layer high-temperature copper voice coil and a high narrow foam surround, the Bio 12” ensures precise and clear bass reproduction. This 12-inch subwoofer utilizes a pressed composite paper cone, a single stacked Y25 ferrite magnet, and a stamped steel basket for durability. It features 12-gauge push terminals and a 7-inch single-layer poly-cotton spider suspension. The T/S parameters, including an Fs of 33.06 Hz and an Xmax of 7.5 mm, are provided for system tuning and enclosure design. CT Sounds also recommends pairing the Bio 12” subwoofer with their pre-fabricated enclosures for a straightforward installation and optimal deep bass output. Enclosure suggestions are provided for both Flat Response Curve (SQ) and Boomer Response Curve (SPL) applications, with specific volume and tuning frequency recommendations for sealed and ported designs.
