Black Series HEX Cold Air Intake Kit

The Whipple Superchargers EB-8150 is a high-velocity cold air intake system engineered for the 2017-2018 Ford F150 and Raptor 3.5L EcoBoost. Whipple has applied its industry-leading technology to create an intake that maximizes air speed and reduces inlet restrictions. The included Black Series HEX filter offers significantly improved airflow, capable of flowing over 132% more air than a stock paper filter. It is equipped with a velocity stack at the end and features extra-wide pleats. A powder-coated heat shield is integrated to help reject power-robbing heat from the engine bay, contributing to increased horsepower and torque, as well as improved throttle response and a unique induction sound. Installation is designed to be straightforward, described as a simple bolt-on process that requires no special tools, cutting, or grinding, with an estimated installation time of 30 minutes. It is noted that custom tuning may be required for optimal performance. Additionally, MY2018+ models utilize an enclosed airbox instead of an open filter. This intake system is claimed to provide up to 15 lb-ft of torque and 10 hp of peak gain over stock when using 93 octane fuel, though power levels may vary based on octane and operating conditions. The system is also noted as being 50-state emissions legal when paired with a Whipple stage 1 system.
