The BBK Performance Blackout Fenderwell Cold Air Intake Kit is a performance upgrade engineered for the 1986-1993 Ford Mustang GT and LX models equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine. The fender well mount design strategically places the air filter within the fender well, isolating it from the high under-hood temperatures that can reduce horsepower and torque, while also offering an improved, stealthy appearance in the engine bay. This kit features show-quality construction with durable black powdercoated intake tubes and vibrant blue silicone hoses for connections to the throttle body, mass air meter (on 1988-1993 MAF models), and air filter. Installation is presented as simple, typically requiring only 30-45 minutes with basic hand tools, and no additional hardware or special tools are needed for most applications. However, 1986-1988 Mustang 5.0L models with Speed Density systems will require an adapter kit (part #1558) for installation. BBK Performance warrants this cold air intake against defects in materials and craftsmanship for one year from the original purchase date.
