It is constructed from Grade-A carbon fiber with a high-grade epoxy resin and finished with a UV-protective polyurethane coating for a glossy look. The underside features a one-piece shell for enhanced structural integrity.

The VIS Racing BLK Series carbon fiber hood offers a sleek upgrade for your 2009-2012 Mercedes SL 2-door. Crafted from Grade-A carbon fiber material, this hood utilizes a two-part construction design. The top layer is bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and protected by an ultra-clear, UV-resistant polyurethane coating, ensuring a durable, high-gloss finish. The underside of the hood features a one-piece, smooth shell that is fused to the top layer, significantly enhancing its structural integrity. VIS Racing has also implemented the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) on many of their parts, producing components that are lighter and more durable. This hood comes with a VIS badge of authenticity. Please note that hood pins are required for installation due to the nature of the product. This item is intended for off-road use only, unless otherwise permitted by local and state laws. Aerocatch Flush Latch and Hood Pin Kits are available as optional add-ons.
