Unlike conventional dual-port valves, the Respons incorporates GFB's patented Venting Bias Adjustment System. This system allows for precise control over the air venting ratio between its two outlets, enabling users to customize the blow-off sound from fully recirculated and silent operation to fully vented for maximum audible effect, or any level in between. Beyond sound customization, the Respons TMS offers tangible performance benefits. It is designed to improve throttle response and achieve faster boost recovery after gear shifts, with tests indicating up to a 30% improvement compared to factory diverter valves. The valve's balanced piston design ensures unlimited boost holding capability, preventing the valve from being forced open by high boost pressures, thus ensuring all boost is delivered to the engine. This design also helps to prevent common issues associated with atmosphere venting BOVs, such as stalling or backfiring, even on sensitive Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor-equipped vehicles. This specific GFB Respons TMS unit (Part No: T9003) is a direct bolt-on replacement, meaning it fits directly into the factory location without the need for separate adapters or vehicle modifications. The package includes everything required for installation. The aluminum construction ensures durability, and its balanced piston design contributes to its boost-holding performance.
