Overview

The Blueprint Engines BP4967CT is a 496 cubic inch long block crate engine designed for GM Big Block compatibility. This engine produces 600 horsepower and 568 ft-lbs of torque. It features BluePrint Engines aluminum cylinder heads, a hydraulic roller camshaft, and a forged steel crankshaft with a 4.250" stroke.

The engine block is a BluePrint Engines High Strength Cast Iron Block with a 4.310" bore and a 1-piece rear main seal. The rotating assembly includes hypereutectic pistons and is externally balanced. The aluminum cylinder heads have 119cc chambers and 2.30" intake valves.

The Blueprint Engines BP4967CT is a 496 cubic inch long block crate engine engineered for GM Big Block applications. This powerful engine delivers an impressive 600 horsepower and 568 ft-lbs of torque, making it suitable for performance-oriented builds. It features a high-strength cast iron block manufactured and machined in the USA, designed with a standard deck, 4-bolt main, and a 1-piece rear main seal. This long block assembly includes a BluePrint Engines forged steel crankshaft with a 4.250" stroke, forged 6.135" connecting rods with 150,000 PSI bolts, and hypereutectic pistons. The cylinder heads are BluePrint Aluminum Heads with 119cc chambers, 2.30" intake valves, 1.88" exhaust valves, and 316cc intake runners. These heads also feature a .300" raised exhaust port, requiring verification of header and exhaust clearance. The camshaft is a hydraulic roller design with .647" intake and .647" exhaust lift, and 248° intake / 254° exhaust duration at .050" lift with a 112° lobe separation angle. Ignition timing should be set between 10-16° initial and 32-34° total at 3500rpm. This engine is externally balanced with a 42.5 oz imbalance, requiring a specific GM flywheel (14096987) or TCI flex plate (399973). A bronze distributor gear is not recommended. It comes with a timing cover, valve covers, dipstick, and oil pan. The engine is dyno tested before shipment, and a printout of the results is included.
