Bluetooth Module with USB Charging

The Discount Car Stereo BT3-FORD is a Bluetooth hands-free and streaming module that brings modern connectivity to select 1998-05 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. This device allows you to integrate Bluetooth functionality into your existing factory radio, enabling hands-free calls and audio streaming from your smartphone or other devices. It is specifically designed for Ford radios that have a remote CD changer capability, identifiable by a CD button on the faceplate and a 20-pin CD changer port on the back. Compatibility is crucial; the radio must display 'NO DJ' or 'NO CD DJ' when the CD button is pressed twice. Radios with a 'SAT' button or 'SAT' port from 2003 and up are not compatible with this model. An integrated USB charging port provides 5V/2.1A to keep your devices powered. Basic control of music playback and calls can be managed using the radio or steering wheel's 'SEEK' button through the AVRCP profile. The installation harness is 2.5 ft long, and a 10 ft microphone cable is included. An optional 6 ft. dash mount USB extension cable is also available. Important compatibility notes: This module is not applicable to Ford Europe or ROW radios/vehicles. Radios with a 16-pin CD port will require a different adapter (BT3-FORD2). If your factory remote CD changer is present, it must be disconnected; for retaining the CD changer, the BTA-FORD module is recommended instead. Track and artist information will not be displayed on the radio screen. Assembly is required for this module, adding 2-3 business days to the order processing time before shipping.
