BMC 02-05 VW Golf IV R32 Carbon Dynamic Airbox Kit

The BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox (CDA) filtering system features a cylindrical carbon fiber airbox that houses a washable filtering element. The carbon fiber construction helps insulate the aspirated air from engine heat due to its low thermal conductivity. By replacing the original airbox with the CDA, fresh air is channeled directly to the thermally insulated filter within the carbon airbox. The air is then conveyed to the engine through an air flow deflector, minimizing power loss. The CDA system connects to a frontal air intake via a flexible aluminum tube, creating a dynamic supercharging effect that delivers fresh air to the airbox at increased speed and capacity compared to traditional systems. This dynamic over-boosting, greater air flow, higher pressure, and colder air contribute to a significant increase in engine performance in terms of both power and torque.
