BMC filters use multi-layered cotton with low-viscosity oil to stop impurities from 7 microns up (synthetic filters typically stop particles from 80 microns up), offering superior filtration and performance. All BMC filters are washable and regenerable; cleaning/regeneration kits are available. To choose the right filter, refer to the provided dimensions and flow rate diagrams/specifications table. Select a filter with the highest possible flow rate that allows for correct installation. Note that graphs show airflow for the entire air filter box with the snorkel mounted and cannot be compared to open filter graphs. For optimal performance, minimize air intake restrictions, use a high-flow air filter, and ensure it draws cold air. Proper pipe and hose routing from the air filter to the engine is crucial; use minimal tight bends for uniform airflow to the intake manifold or turbo inlet. A wide selection of aluminum pipes and silicone hoses is available. If the included snorkel is too short or additional components are needed, a variety of air ducting hoses are offered.
