These K-members are designed as a lightweight alternative to the heavy factory K-member. Manufactured from 1-5/8-inch x 0.20120 wall and 1-1/4-inch x 0.095 wall DOM tubing, they offer a lightweight and extremely strong solution. Every BMR K-member is 100-percent bolt-in and requires no modifications for fitment, and they are built with provisions for either factory or manual steering racks. Designed for street performance, drag race, and road race applications, BMR Tubular K-members reduce weight and add significant structural rigidity. BMR's unique K-member design features integrated frame stands that replace the factory cast iron frame stands, allowing for the use of larger diameter tubing and thicker mounting plates for additional strength. When combined with BMR’s upper and lower A-arms, a minimum weight reduction of 42 pounds is common, with up to 100 pounds achievable with other lightweight front-end parts. The K-member also includes specially designed engine mounts for easy SBC or BBC engine swaps into Fourth Gen F-body vehicles without fabrication.
