Description

The MODE Auto Concepts BMS Dual Cone Performance Intake (DCI) is engineered to replace the restrictive factory airbox in N54 BMW models, aiming to enhance airflow and deliver an intoxicating sound. The manufacturer claims a gain of 15+ horsepower at the wheels with no other modifications required. The kit includes two aluminum powder-coated intake tubes and two renewable performance filters. Replacement filters in various colors (red, white, blue) and cleaning kits are also available separately. This intake system is CARB Approved under Executive Order (EO) No. D-744-2, making it 50 State Legal for specified BMW models. Fitment includes a range of 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, and Z Series BMWs equipped with the N54 3.0L twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder engine. Specifically, it fits: BMW 1 Series (2008-2010 E82 Coupe 135i, 2008-2010 E88 Convertible 135i, 2011 E82 1M); BMW 3 Series (2006-2010 E90 Sedan 335i/xi, 2006-2010 E91 Touring 335i/xi, 2006-2010 E92 Coupe 335i/xi, 2006-2010 E93 Convertible 335i/xi, 2011-2013 E92 Coupe 335is equipped with N54 motor); BMW 5 Series (2008-2010 E60 Sedan 535i/xi, 2008-2010 E61 Touring 535i/xi); and BMW Z Series (2009-2016 BMW Z4 sDrive35i). Note that 2011+ 335i models with an N55 motor require a different intake system.
