Overview

The Burger Motorsports BMS G8x S58 Performance Intake is a high-flow intake system designed for the S58 engine. It replaces the upper portion of the OEM intake with larger 3.5" mandrel-bent aluminum tubing and BMS inverted cone air filters. This system aims to improve power, enhance turbo spool sound, and increase throttle response. The reusable filters can be cleaned every 15-20k miles.
Show original supplier description
The Burger Motorsports BMS G8x S58 Performance Intake is engineered to significantly upgrade the airflow to your S58-powered BMW M2, M3, or M4. This system retains the beneficial aspects of the factory setup, such as the cold air ducting and the lower heat shielding airbox, while replacing the restrictive upper intake components. It features large 3.5" mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, CNC billet aluminum fittings, and high-flow BMS inverted cone air filters. These filters are designed for longevity and can be cleaned and reused every 15-20k miles. This performance intake system is credited with adding up to 17+ horsepower and improving throttle response. Beyond performance gains, users report a dramatic improvement in intake sound, allowing the turbo spool to be heard clearly. The installation process is described as quick and easily reversible, making it a convenient upgrade. The BMS G8x S58 Performance Intake is compatible with a range of S58-equipped BMW M models, including the 2023+ G87 BMW M2, 2021+ G80 BMW M3 and M3 Competition, 2021+ G82 BMW M4 and M4 Competition, and 2022+ G83 BMW M4 Convertible. It is available in both Matte Black (BMS) and Glossy Black (BMS Elite) finishes, and offers filter options in Oiled Renewable (Red or Blue) and Dry Extendable types.
