Description

The Genuine BMW coolant, part number 82141467704, is a factory-recommended antifreeze formulated for optimal performance of your BMW's cooling system. This blue, G48 formula coolant is concentrated and contains no nitrates, amines, phosphates, or borates, which helps reduce harmful deposit formation and corrosion. It is essential to mix this concentrate with distilled water for use. A 50/50 mix is recommended for most environments, while a 60/40 mix of coolant to water is advised for colder climates to ensure freeze protection. This coolant is specific to BMW and MINI vehicles and has been in use since the 1990s. BMW replaced this blue coolant formula with a newer version containing silicate for improved short-term corrosion protection in cars manufactured after January 2018. Therefore, this particular blue coolant is only approved for cars up to the 2018 model year. It is critical not to mix this coolant with other formulas, especially those using HT-12 Anti-Corrosion Agent, as this can lead to incompatibility issues.
