BMW E36 Methanol Injection Kit

The Active Autowerke methanol injection kit is a model-specific system designed for BMW E36 Coupe and Sedan models. Superchargers and turbochargers generate heat, leading to performance loss. This kit combats heat soak by chilling the intake charge with a methanol-water mix, which also increases the engine's knock limit to prevent detonation.

The system features a trunk-mounted 1.8+ gallon reservoir with an inline filter and low pickup tube. Its location on the battery tray maximizes trunk storage while keeping the reservoir away from engine and exhaust heat. The methanol-water mix is precisely delivered and metered by an electronic module that monitors boost pressure and controls flow based on engine load and demand. The kit includes injection hose and wiring within a protective casing, and a robust pump is suited for methanol-water mix. The system is tested and proven on high-horsepower applications. Note that the methanol or any liquid is not included and must be procured separately.
