The TTE940 5149 is a pair of BMW S58 upgrade turbochargers and TTE oversize turbo inlets. These turbochargers are constructed using original genuine BMW parts as a base, with upgraded billet milled compressors and TTE 9 blade low-mass turbines.

The TTE940 5149 upgrade turbochargers and inlets are designed for BMW S58 engines found in models like the M3, M4, X3M, and X4M. To construct these performance units, TheTurboEngineers (TTE) utilizes genuine BMW turbochargers as a foundation. The original compressors are replaced with larger, more efficient 7+7 blade billet milled wheels, and the compressor covers are milled to optimize the gap for the new compressor profile. Additionally, TTE incorporates its 9-blade low-mass turbines in the turbine housings for improved flow and reduced exhaust gas temperatures under high boost conditions. An upgraded bearing pack is also fitted for enhanced durability. This upgrade includes TTE's oversize turbo inlet intakes, which connect to the OEM air intake system or Eventuri systems for unrestricted airflow and ease of installation. This combination aims to provide the greatest power potential with fast boost response, offering a plug-and-play hybrid turbocharger solution. The product is made in Germany and comes with a 1-year TTE trouble-free warranty. A software recalibration is required after installation. An optional TTE Heat Shield Isolation Add-on is available at an extra cost for turbine housings.
