BMWSB3 Bluetooth Car Adapter Kit

The Grom GROM-BMWSB3 is an integrated Bluetooth car interface that adds hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming capabilities to your original factory car stereo. It allows you to make and receive phone calls (HFP), control music playback (A2DP, AVRCP), and stream audio from all smartphones, Android and iPhone, and audio applications like Spotify and Pandora. An optional AUX-IN cable is available separately, providing a 3.5mm audio input and a 5V USB charging port for compatible smartphones. Note that the USB port on this auxiliary cable is for charging only and cannot play music from a USB stick or directly from a phone. For USB music playback, a separate GROM USB MP3 Car Kit is recommended. The package includes the car stereo adapter with built-in Bluetooth, a vehicle-specific harness, a 10-foot omni-directional microphone with a swivel mount, and a user manual. Optional accessories, such as a MiniDin 3.5mm audio cable with USB charging and a flush-mount AUX-In cable, are sold separately. Compatibility is specific to various BMW and Mini models from the late 1990s to the mid-2000s, with a crucial limitation: it is not compatible with factory navigation or DSP (Digital Sound Processing) systems unless a specific trunk cable is used. Certain later model BMW X3 and Z4 vehicles with navigation, CD changers, or iPod connections may require stereo reprogramming by a BMW dealer. Additionally, BMW CD43 stereos are not compatible, and SiriusXM satellite radio must be disconnected for the GROM unit to function.
