The Total Chaos 48676 Bed Stiffener Bolt-on is engineered to reinforce the rear tailgate truck bed channels of your 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma, addressing the common issue of flexing and cracking sheetmetal. Whether you're loading up with a bed rack, a tent, or navigating washboard roads, these stiffeners significantly increase the truck bed's structural rigidity and prevent long-term damage. Constructed from durable 3/16" thick mild steel and finished in a black powdercoat, these laser-cut brackets utilize existing factory tailgate channel mounting points. For added strength, two additional bolt holes are incorporated, though drilling is required for installation. The design includes six eyelet tabs for enhanced cargo strapping and a flat tab on each side, suitable for mounting a buggy whip, CB antenna, collision light, or cargo light. These bed stiffeners include all necessary Grade 8 mounting hardware. Please note that while designed for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacomas, they are explicitly NOT for 2005-2015 2nd Gen Tacomas. Additionally, they may interfere with bed extenders or other accessories mounted around the tailgate end of the bed. It is recommended to call if you are unsure about compatibility before ordering.
