The Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump (KB89072) is a universal, 40 Amp, 21V competition-grade fuel pump voltage booster engineered to significantly enhance fuel delivery for forced induction applications. This "Boost-A-Pump" concept, pioneered by Kenne Bell, offers a reliable and cost-effective alternative to costly fuel pump upgrades, capable of delivering more fuel flow than even dual-pump setups in some cases. It activates exclusively under full throttle or boost conditions, ensuring the fuel system is not overloaded at idle or cruise, thus preventing fuel heating. It features a simple "single wire" splice installation or can be a Plug N Play for Fords. The unit includes fused circuit protection and is ideal for nitrous applications. It is rated for 1000HP with OEM in-tank production pumps and is compatible with any 12V electric fuel pump, whether turbine or gerotor type, and can operate with a 12V or 16V battery. An exclusive built-in regulator stabilizes voltage, ensuring consistent pump delivery even with voltage drops from accessories. The 21V Competition Kit requires a Boost Activation Switch (BAS) or Vacuum Activated Switch (VAS) and should not be run full-time, particularly with Ford FPDMs. Installation is straightforward, typically involving splicing a single wire and grounding another. Unlike other systems, the Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump requires no computers, software, CDs, complex programming, or re-tuning.
