The GrimmSpeed Boost Control Solenoid is a direct replacement for the factory unit on the 2008-2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X with the 4B11T engine. This 3-port design offers improved flow and faster response compared to the stock solenoid, enabling more precise boost control. It features nickel-plated brass fittings for durability, unlike the plastic fittings found on some competitors' products. Installation is straightforward, with a direct bolt-in bracket included for a clean, factory-like fit. However, an engine tune is required for proper operation and to take full advantage of the solenoid's capabilities. This ensures optimal performance and safe operation by allowing for precise boost mapping across the RPM range.
