The stock CRV's reliance on ECU signals introduces delays, potentially causing compressor surges that can damage the turbocharger. The ALTA CRV employs a robust mechanical actuation system, using intake manifold vacuum, pressure, and turbo boost to open the valve instantaneously upon deceleration. This rapid response not only protects the turbo from surges but also contributes to improved drivability. Constructed with simplicity and durability in mind, the ALTA CRV features minimal components. Its diaphragm and spring are sourced from high-tech Borg Warner EFR turbochargers, ensuring they can withstand extreme conditions and prolonged use. This robust design means the valve is built to last, providing a reliable upgrade for the life of your vehicle. Furthermore, the CRV addresses common Check Engine Light (CEL) and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) such as P28AA, P2c91, and P2c90, which often arise from aging or faulty stock valves, particularly after 50,000 miles. The ALTA CRV boasts a thick, reinforced rubber diaphragm, a significant upgrade over the stock part's unreinforced silicone and rubber, which is prone to tearing under higher boost levels or normal wear. This reinforced diaphragm ensures long-term reliability, even in demanding driving scenarios. This product is designed for Gen 2 2007-2010 MINI Cooper S models and 2009-2012 MINI Cooper JCW models. Please note that a boost tap sensor is required for installation, which is sold separately.
