The Full Force Diesel FFDBF Boost Fooler Kit is engineered for 1994-2003 Ford Powerstroke 7.3L vehicles, specifically addressing over-boost issues common in modified trucks. When performance modifications like chips or injectors increase boost pressure beyond the factory-set limits (typically 23-24 psi), the vehicle's computer can trigger defueling modes and diagnostic trouble codes. This kit circumvents this by being installed inline with the MAP sensor. It is preset to release at 22 psi, ensuring the PCM only registers this normal boost level, even if the actual boost pressure is higher. This allows for sustained injector performance and prevents power loss due to computer intervention. Featuring a plug-and-play design and simple installation, the FFDBF kit offers a direct solution to eliminate computer defueling codes. For 1994-1997 OBS models, while a service engine light may not be triggered, this kit will still prevent defueling at higher boost levels if the truck is capable of exceeding 22 psi, especially when fitted with modified injectors.
