The Ford Performance Boss 302 5.0L V8 crate motor is a modern 5.0L 32-valve DOHC V-8 engine. It delivers 444 horsepower and 380 ft.-lb. of torque with premium fuel. The engine features Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) and high-flow CNC cylinder heads.

The Ford Performance Boss 302 5.0L V8 crate motor (part #M-6007-M50B) is designed for custom project vehicles. This engine is based on the 2012 Boss 302 Mustang and offers a robust power output of 444 horsepower and 380 ft.-lb. of torque when using premium fuel. Constructed with a lightweight aluminum cylinder block featuring cross-bolted main bearing caps and thick main bearing bulkheads for enhanced strength, this V8 also includes a revised composite intake system with shorter runners and an 80 mm single-bore "drive by wire" throttle body. The high-strength aluminum-alloy cylinder heads are fully CNC-machined for optimal airflow at high RPMs while maintaining low-speed torque. For improved heat dissipation, sodium-filled exhaust valves are utilized, and forged aluminum pistons paired with upgraded sinter-forged connecting rods ensure increased durability. This crate engine comes with a manual transmission engine harness and flywheel. However, the vehicle harness and PCM are not included and must be sourced separately. The engine mount bosses and bellhousing mount pattern are common to 4.6L modular engines, facilitating integration into various platforms. Optional accessories like Ford blue coil pack covers are also available separately.
