The CTS Turbo BOSS turbocharger upgrade kit is a complete, bolt-on big turbo solution designed for EA888 Gen3 NON-MQB (CPLA/CPPA) engines. It features a reverse rotation, dual ball-bearing 67mm turbocharger capable of 400+ hp, balancing spool-up time with power output. The kit includes a proprietary 3" compressor cover, stainless steel exhaust housing, and relocated diverter valve for simplified installation.

The CTS Turbo BOSS turbocharger upgrade kit provides a direct-bolt-on big turbo solution for EA888 Gen3 NON-MQB (CPLA/CPPA) engines, eliminating the need for custom fabrication often associated with IS38 swaps. Developed using advanced 3D rapid prototyping, this kit is designed to work harmoniously with your existing aftermarket parts. Installation involves removing the factory turbocharger, transferring the wastegate actuator, and using the supplied hardware. This high-performance turbocharger features a reverse rotation, dual-ball-bearing cartridge with a 50/67mm compressor wheel and a 54/47mm turbine wheel. The CHRA is constructed with heat-resistant ceramic and finished on a VSR high-speed balancer, ensuring reliability for power capabilities exceeding 400hp. The result is a dependable 400hp output on a stock fueling system with 93 octane pump gas. Crucially, the CTS-TR-2000 requires specific software tuning and is available from Unitronic Chipped for 2.0T Gen3 Volkswagen GLI (manual or DSG) vehicles only, for SIMOS 18 equipped models. DSG equipped vehicles also require Stage 2 TCU Performance Software. Additional required parts include a CTS Turbo 3″ high-flow intake, 3″ high-flow downpipe, direct-fit intercooler upgrade, and charge pipe set.
