The CTS Turbo BOSS800 Hybrid Turbocharger is a direct replacement upgrade for the Audi/Porsche EA839 3.0T engine platform, engineered to significantly increase airflow and enhance performance. This hybrid unit is meticulously optimized for superior boost efficiency and improved top-end power delivery, while crucially maintaining responsive low-RPM engagement. It employs an upgraded compressor and turbine configuration, featuring a 66mm turbo inlet (a larger inlet is required for installation), a 66mm 7+7 design billet compressor wheel, and a 63mm 9-blade high-flow turbine wheel. Constructed with a stainless steel exhaust housing matched to the increased turbine flow, this turbocharger includes heavy-duty bearings and thrust washers for enhanced durability. It undergoes VSR balancing to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The BOSS800 is a full, brand-new unit, eliminating the need for a core exchange, and is compatible with many off-the-shelf Stage 3 tuning solutions. Dyno results from Logic Street Performance demonstrate impressive gains, with up to 671 hp and 663 lb-ft of torque achieved on E60 fuel blends. These figures were recorded on a vehicle equipped with full bolt-ons, an upgraded fueling system (RS6 injectors, HPFP and LPFP upgrade, 4BAR Map sensors), and Logic Street Performance Stage 3 tuning. The power gains scale predictably with ethanol content, providing strong midrange torque and sustained power through the upper RPM range, with boost response remaining smooth and controlled, suitable for both street and track applications. Note that these results are indicative and actual performance may vary based on specific vehicle configurations and tuning. Installation requires several additional parts not included, such as exhaust manifold gaskets, an exhaust ring gasket, oil feed and coolant o-rings, barrel nuts, exhaust nuts, a connecting pipe o-ring, and exhaust gaskets. It is compatible with the factory diverter valve and boost pressure relief valve (06M133554A).
