Brake Caliper Mounting Kit

The Honed Developments Porsche 986 Brake Caliper Mounting Kit enables the installation of OEM Brembo four-piston front calipers from the Porsche Boxster 986 onto a range of older Honda vehicles equipped with 262mm/10.3″ front discs and a 4×100 wheel bolt pattern. It is designed to work seamlessly with a booster delete for a solid, predictable pedal feel and is compatible with most 15-inch wheels, with specific fitment notes and required spacers provided for various popular wheel models. The kit includes adapter brackets for mounting the Porsche caliper to the factory knuckle mounts, an adapter for the OEM 10mm banjo fitting with new sealing washers, and M12 10.9 hardware for securing the adapters and calipers. It is designed for the large hub/bearing type 4×100 suspension knuckle found on many 1988-2000 Honda models with 262mm ventilated discs. This kit will not work on knuckles originally fitted with 242mm/9.5″ brakes; a separate kit is available for that application. The calipers used must be the front calipers from the base model 986 Boxster, as rear calipers have different piston sizing that will not function correctly. Installation requires the separate purchase of a pair of 986 Porsche Boxster base model front calipers with pads and a pair of R53 Mini Cooper S JCW brake discs (294mm diameter). While the kit retains existing flexible brake hoses, aftermarket braided hoses typically offer more articulation than OEM rubber hoses, which may have insufficient slack due to the caliper inlet's slightly altered position. The included hardware consists of M12 10.9 grade bolts for mounting the adapter to the knuckle and the caliper to the adapter. Fitment is specified for 1992-1995 Honda Civic (EG) with OE 10.3″ front discs, 1996-2001 Honda Civic (EK) with OE 10.3″ front discs, 1994-2001 Honda Integra (DC2), and 2007-2008 Honda Fit (USDM). Customers are advised to verify their specific knuckle type by measuring the original brake disc diameter or the rotor centring spigot on the hub, as this kit is not compatible with knuckles originally equipped with 242mm brakes.
