The Flyin' Miata brake duct scoop kit is an easy way to enhance the brake cooling capabilities of your ND Miata. By redirecting undercar airflow directly to your brakes, these scoops help maintain optimal temperatures during demanding driving conditions, a strategy also employed by performance vehicles like the Porsche 911 GT3. The minimal added weight is also a benefit, and it's considered semi-sprung weight, unlike more conventional brake ducting solutions. Customer testing at High Plains Raceway showed a significant decrease in rotor temperatures, with one user reporting a 120°F drop when using the ducting. For optimal performance, Flyin' Miata suggests simple modifications such as trimming the underbody spoiler for smoother airflow and modifying the brake dust shield to expose more of the rotor. These enhancements can further improve the efficiency of the scoops. This brake duct scoop kit is compatible with all ND Miatas, including the RF models, from 2016 through the 2025 model year.
