Brake Cooling Kit

This system integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling and refreshing of the brake pads under demanding conditions. The SuperComp caliper is an extreme lightweight, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, and features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than ProComp calipers. It includes protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads due to its substantial size. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly designed to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc construction mitigates thermal stresses that can warp the disc or cup the braking surface under extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are advised for more track-oriented use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are NAOC ceramic pads designed for optimal street and occasional track performance with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, with reduced noise and rotor wear. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made of carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions with optimal operating temperatures of 482°F – 1472°F, and are not recommended for street use. The brake lines are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided lines for improved pedal feel and quicker response. All Ksport big brake kits include a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
