Brake Cooling System

The Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kit provides the ultimate in stopping power for your vehicle, integrating new brake technology to reduce brake fade and refresh the brake pad surface under braking. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper is machined from aircraft quality billet and features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than ProComp calipers. It includes machined protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM designs, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The SuperComp systems utilize a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design that reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris faster than conventional designs. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Ksport offers both cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to cooler operation, and slotted rotors, recommended for vehicles with more track use. This specific kit, BKMZ051-951SO, is designed for the 2002-2008 Mazda 6 models and includes an 8-piston front setup with 15-inch slotted rotors.
