Brake Cooling System

This advanced braking system utilizes cutting-edge technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling of the brake pads during intense use. This kit features Ksport's extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It boasts a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than their ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7 lbs each. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's substantial size, each requires four brake pads. The SuperComp systems include a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce rotating and unsprung weight, preventing thermal stress from warping the disc. The unique slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are advised for more frequent track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC ceramic for optimal street and occasional track performance, operating efficiently between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust and noise compared to race pads, with an average coefficient of friction between .46 and .53. For dedicated track use, Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available as an upgrade, offering peak stopping power in extreme conditions with optimal operating temperatures from 482°F – 1472°F, though not recommended for street use due to their high working temperature requirement.
