Additionally, the stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure, leading to a firmer pedal feel than stock rubber lines. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly that reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. For many applications, a floating disc option is available to prevent thermal stresses from extreme heat from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional slot designs. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced before shipment for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors tend to run cooler than slotted rotors and are recommended for daily driven vehicles, while slotted rotors are suggested for vehicles used more frequently on the track. This kit includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are NAOC ceramic pads designed for optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions. They operate efficiently between 194°F – 1022°F, offer fast warm-up, and reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads. The SC5 pads also minimize noise and rotor wear. For more extreme track use, Ksport RC1 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available as an option but are not recommended for street use due to their high working temperature requirement (482°F – 1472°F).
