Brake Pad Cooling System

The Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kit offers the ultimate in stopping power, integrating advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and refresh the brake pad surface during braking. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper is constructed from aircraft-quality billet, weighing just over 7 lbs and featuring a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than ProComp calipers. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. For the ProComp series, four brake pads are standard per caliper. SuperComp systems utilize a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. This design also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause disc warping or cupping. The rotors feature a unique slot design that reduces braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Ksport offers rotors in either cross-drilled (recommended for daily drivers) or slotted (recommended for track use) options.
