By integrating new brake technology, this kit effectively reduces brake fade and continuously cools the brake pad surface under braking conditions. Each caliper is a lightweight, one-piece design, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet, and weighs just over 5 lbs. It features a differential bore configuration, machined protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The kit utilizes a two-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications include a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing warping or cupping of the braking surface. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. This specific kit is designed for the rear of the 1990-1993 Toyota Celica and requires 18-inch wheels or larger.
