This alert signifies that it is time to service your brakes. It is highly recommended to replace the brake pad wear sensor whenever you replace your brake pads. Over time, these sensors can become brittle and prone to breakage during removal from old pads. If this happens, it can result in false warnings appearing on your dashboard even after new pads have been installed. BOWA engineers its brake wear sensors in Germany and manufactures them in Poland, ensuring they are a predominant supplier to German car manufacturers like BMW. This sensor is specifically designed for the front left position on various BMW models, including the 128i, 325i, 328i, and 330i. Specific fitment details include: 2006 BMW 325i (all transmissions, 3.0L L6 N52 Gas), 2006 BMW 330i (all transmissions, 3.0L L6 N52 Gas), 2007-2008 BMW 328i (all transmissions through 08/07 build date, 3.0L L6 N51B30A/N52 Gas), and various 2008-2010 BMW 128i models (convertible/coupe, automatic/manual, 3.0L L6 N51B30A/N52B30A Gas, with notes like 'thru 08/07' or 'thru 02/10' indicating specific production dates).
