The Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kit offers race-grade stopping performance in a lightweight package suitable for both street and track use. The SuperComp caliper is an extreme lightweight design, machined from aircraft-grade billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, a weight of just over 7 lbs each, and machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. This kit includes Ksport's 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing warping or cupping of the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce braking noise and expedite the expulsion of gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for more frequent track use.
